Two of the main contenders for making a blog are Blogger and Wordpress
(Blogger.com and Wordpress.com). You can use both of these blogging platforms to create your own blog for free. I currently use Blogger.com have had very good experiences with using them for my blog. You can also create a blog on Wodpress.org, but this one you have to pay for your own web hosting and domain name. Which blogging platform do you use for your blog? Who is the winner in Blogger Vs. Wordpress, and why? Can't wait to hear from you!

I have used Blogger for a while and I to have had excellent experiences with Blogger.
I love both Wordpress and Blogger, but the combination of Blogger and some Google applications is the best solution of blogging to me. So, one vote to Blogger.
I prefer Blogger than Wordpress. I'm not very familiar with wordpress format.
I use wordpress. ^_^ I use it on all of my sites because I find it easy to use and modify. :D
I've been experimenting for a while now and have been using Blogger, Wordpress and B2Evo.
For sheer ease of editing the main index page I'd have to give Blogger top marks. However, I would prefer to host everything on my own space and that is where Blogger begins to fall short (for example you are limited in how you tweak your skins then) and Wordpress definitely starts to take over.
Wordpress (self-hosted)
Blogger
B2evo(self-hosted)
I'm using both. But I feel comfortable at wordpress. My blogspot blog (dubbingindo.blogspot.com) stuck and I dont know how to optimized it. but I have 5 WP blog and I can change the layout by my self. ^^ maybe because I understand the PHP sytem and I dont understand Blogger template system.
wordpress. its easy to use. I tried Drupal and got completely lost. I contribute to a blog that uses Blogger and I have real trouble adding pics to my liking in the editor.
I'm all for Wordpress. It's great software with lots of features and room to extend it.
All of my blogs are self-hosted, though.
I use both. Blogger is easy to use.
http://wordpress.com/ is free.
http://wordpress.org/ is for self-hosted sites e.g. Canadian medical blogs
You really can't beat Wordpress.
I used to host all my sites on blogger and the functionality to expand and make more money is just not possible.
Wordpress allows you to have better control over your sites.
Utilize Blogger Backup utility which is intended to be a simple utility to backup to local disk your Blogger posts. (Free Utility)As for restoring content, sure this utility can backup the posts from one site and restore it to another Google/Blogger site.Download

I have used both and there is one thing I hate about both is the inline blogging- not able to create separate pages. I just started using wordpress (self hosted)andit is a pain to learn at first but I think the theme selections and customization aspects makes it worthwhile I too have found a free hosting service located here http://www.000webhost.com/30840.html
I like WP blogs better; they seem to be more polished, SEO-optimized, and offer a bevy of features.
All that said, however, I'm still blogging with Blogger. I've put in a lot of time learning it and customizing my blogs. Currently, the only route I'm taking with my sites is with free hosting. It seems that WP is sorely lacking in their free offering.
When (if?) I go "big-time" I'll consider using WP...but then again, if I'm big-time, why change.
WP fans might say I'll never get there with Blogger. Time will tell, I suppose.
Thanks for your feedback everyone!
I haven't used Blogger but have grown to love Wordpress. It was a bit difficult to figure out at first, but is a very powerful platform once you figure things out.

I am using Wordpress in one of my blogs and Blogger for my 3 other blogs. But I came to love Wordpress more than blogger. Wordpress was difficult to install and use at first but after the adjustment period, it's more convenient especially in changing your templates :)
You can't beat FREE. Blogger, all the way.
Wordpress is better once you adjust to the learning curve. It has so many ways you can customize it. You can get started with Wordpress for free at Wordpress.com If you just want to use it for free, or try it, that's the way to go. It's easy to use, even easier than blogger I think. I use Wordpress on my own domain. But I also host myself, and have bought my own domain. I wouldn't use blogger for anything anymore. With the exception of I need a blogger account to comment on Blogspot blogs. Blogspot/blogger is good when you are learning, but after you get your feet wet blogging, Wordpress is so much better. There is a plugin or widget for anything and everything you could imagine doing to it. Google gadgets work well with Wordpress too. Wordpress also has a feature whereby you can import all your blogger posts and comments too. This way you don't lose a thing. And if you have a paid domain through blogger Bluehost.com will help you transfer your domain name to your own hosting site so you don't lose a thing when you move over to hosting yourself.
This all started because blogger took down a friend of mine's website. They called it spam, and it was just a photo blog. Not many words, just a few, and mostly photos. They didn't even send her a note, warn her if there was a problem, anything. Just took it down, with no explanation. That made me realize how vulnerable we and our blogs are to the mercy of others, if we don't host ourselves.
if you just want to try Wordpress then go to Wordpress.com but if you want to go the full route and host yourself then go to Bluehost.com because they offer free setup of wordpress, and free transfers of your domain, and a free paid domain for life as well as unlimted site storage and unlimited bandwidth transfer, and free help 24/7.
All in all wordpress is the best once you get used to blogging. I couldn't live without. I also couldn't live without hosting myself LOL especially after blogger took down my friend like that. Grrrrr
I love both !
I started out using blogger, but something happened and it stopped working for me. It wouldn't let me add any more posts. I was doing a photo blog. So I went to wordpress I've only had a few minor problems so far.
